Have a special charm of their own, pure Americana. I once lived for years in a kitchenette with accouterments from the 40s - 50s. Remember the seperate metal grille heaters in the bathrooms? The sink had bakelite panels on the front. One time I heard water running in the shower. I pulledthe curtain back and there was a beautiful nude girl in there. (O.K. - it was my girlfriend).
