72. Even California is an 11 hour plane ride for us.

With Customs and Immigration, along with time to change planes, that makes it about a 20 hour trip for us to get to Hawaii..

Not a spur of the moment thing.

On the other hand, places we CAN go to on the spur of the moment (and be there in less than 2 hours) include Prague, Budapest, Barcelona, Paris, London, Vienna, Florence, Copenhagen, Munich, Berlin, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and, if you can afford them, Switzerland and Norway. Plus, we can drive to the banks of the Rhein in about 13 minutes. Yin and Yang.
