In reply to the discussion: What Have You Bought for Yourself Lately? [View all]magical thyme

I've wanted to plant blueberry bushes for 10 years. When the big backyard maple came down last year, I realized I *finally* have a place to put them!
Just this morning, I spent an hour+ cutting down brambles and clearing the area up. I'm about to head out to start a lasagna garden on top the remains of what was once, long before I came here, a terraced garden by that maple. I plan to lay down a good, thick layer of cardboard and newspapers collected this winter, covered by a thick layer of Dahli's manure today. Next chance I get, I'll add a thick layer of more newspaper and maybe some 1st cut hay, covered my more manure. Luckily, Dahli produces an endless supply, faster than I can read the paper!
