14. Waterfront, repuglicans, and...gays?

I live in coastal Alabama.
In the reddest county in a BRIGHT red state.

But have you ever noticed that a lot of gay enclaves are on or near waterfront?
I'm thinking New York City, San Francisco, New Orleans, Seattle, Key West, Provincetown, etc.

It's like 'straight' society pushed them and pushed them until their backs were against the sea and there they took a stand.

Good on 'em. They got some great places to hang.
