12. I don't remember ever seeing someone do that in the US

But here in Korea I've seen it a number of times (in broad daylight and where people can see them). Now I understand if your on the road and nothings around and you have to go pee behind the bushes, I'm guilty of that. I'm smart enough to wash my hands.

1st time-At a bus stop in Daegu (2004) and a man whips it out at a bus stop and does his business.
2nd time-At a subway station in Seoul (2005). The guy uses a column in the subway station to do his business. This time I went up to the person and chewed him out (in English too).
3rd time-Just recently (2014) about a block from where I work in a suburb of Seoul. A boy is standing outside a building and just decides to pee right then and there. No parent in sight.

I'm sure there are other times, but I've probably repressed them in my memory as it repulses me as well.

I've heard stories of foreigners witness parents in Korea take their kids pants off and hold them over a garbage can and let them do their business.
