... she might need once she gets home. Mostly bathroom assist-and-safety bars -- it would
be ironic and terrible if she got her knee fixed only to slip and fall and break a hip in the
bathtub. She'll need some direct observation and hands-on help (whether she'll admit it or
not) for a while

There may be temporary set-ups... but I'm betting medical supply outlets would know (as
well as the PT depts at the hospital) how to contact specialists/installers. I'm still paranoid
about slipping in the tub -- little, tiny baby steps, fully-focused.

You may be able to rent a "rise-assist" chair for the living +/or dining room. There are
"booster" seats for the commode, too.

Any in-patient time in a rehab facility? The folks I dealt with were some of the most caring
medical professionals I've encountered. They KNOW, without arrogance, how important
their work is -- and they seemed, pretty universally, like genuinely NICE people.
