Bronx man rescues sewer-stranded kitten just hours before heavy rainstorm [View all]

He's the cat’s meow.

The cash-strapped owner of the only no-kill animal shelter in the Bronx saved a sewer-stranded, frightened feline Monday, just hours before heavy rains threatened to wash it away.

When Pedro Rosario, the owner of NYC’s Top Dog, was alerted to the plight of the trapped stray near the corner of Zerega and Hermany Aves., he immediately sprang into action.

“I’m not a superhero,” the modest Rosario told the Daily News on Thursday. “I will just do anything and everything to help the animals.”
