(5,907 posts)The dad's mother was a religious nut who had a 'vision' that his 3 daughters would have a band and be stars, so daddy dearest decided to make her dream come true. He pulled them from school, and they had almost zero exposure to popular culture... like music, for instance.
Rolling Stone described them as "...sounding like lobotomized Trapp Family singers."
