(21,020 posts)of weak batteries in a smoke alarm.
I awoke to that at 6 AM today.
Mr Pipi has lost his high frequency hearing but can hear low frequency sound
I've lost a lot of low frequency sound but can still hear noises at an impressively high frequency.
So he could live with a chirping alarm and never hear it. Which is dangerous. Those things need to have alarms that are audible to people with various levels of hearing difficulties.
Anyway, smoke alarms suck.
And kids' screaming tantrums.
Oh, and I'm wondering what happened to womens' voices in the last 20 years or so.
Seems like so many women have this annoyingly high cartoon character type voice. They sound like children, and I want to slap them for some reason. Especially the ones on the TV news, etc. This is the reason I will NOT call Customer Service for help for anything. Always the high voices on "women" who are making it worse by talking very rapidly. Arrrrggghhh!
High pitched voices belong on little girls.
I prefer deeper voices.
