The exercises can be painful.
Grit your teeth and do them.
The more you do, the faster you get better.
And the faster you get full mobility back.
A really wimpy acquaintance had a shoulder replacement.
She complained that the exercises were 'too hard and hurt too much'.
She's a real dork.
Almost a year later she can't raise her arm above shoulder height.
Her doc says that the best she's gonna get because she didn't do the exercises.
They'll probably tell you to walk.
If so, ask about Nordic Walking.
Look it up.
I do it every day.
