24. I don't have much choice if I want to walk

It's gotten so bad that standing up long enough to make dinner is impossible.

Friday the vet was here. All I did was walk halfway down the barn aisle, halter a horse and start leading her back to the front. Couldn't do it. The vet tech had to take her from me and put her out. I think the stuff I did the day the colt was born really did a lot more damage to the joints - they've hurt a whole lot worse since then.

I saw the surgeon who did the arthroscopic surgeries on both knees a week ago. He's referred me to the knee replacement surgeon and I'm waiting to hear back from him. My old surgeon said, "Well, it isn't a slam dunk yet." but when he sent the info to the knee replacement guy it was with a recommendation for both knees. Even I could see that both knees are bone on bone - without my glasses!
