The thing was played on the radio incessantly and, at a gathering, it came on and I yelled turn that shit OFF, I fucking HATE that song. Next thing I knew, the host tried to tackle me. I was, like, what about Uncle Whoever and Auntie Mim?
He was a Beatles and McCartney loyalist; couldn't say no wrong about Paul. And there were millions like him. Paul took full advantage, imo, putting out 20 uninspired songs for every decent one.
