29. She had the surgery on Thursday

Nov 2014

By Friday afternoon they were rushing us out the door. I couldn't understand the hurry. She threw up just before the lady with the wheelchair showed up so they had her lay back down fully dressed. Three hours later we tried again after they gave her the pain meds and she had something to eat. A half our after we got home she threw up again. It was a long night where she was unable to keep anything down including the pain meds. By the next morning she couldn't stand it any longer so we headed back to the hospital. The nurse told us they had no business sending her home in that condition. They started an IV and gave her anti nausea drugs. After 3 hours she felt much better and could eat something without it coming back up. It's been a better day today with a prescription for nausea drugs and her pain meds keeping her comfortable.
