4. Kid's shoes
Tue Dec 2, 2014, 03:27 PM
Dec 2014

I have a size 7.5-8 foot (but wide) and have discovered that a kid's size 6 fits me (not all stores carry them). Kids shoes tend to run wider than adults do. (Target carries a kids's 6).

Obviously the styles may differ but most of the time I either wear ballet flats or athletic shoes, which the kid's don't vary much from the adults. I also don't mind younger, funkier styles (my style has never been conservative). There are some good basic ballet flats available in kid's sizes that look like adult shoes. I've often bought athletic shoes in the boy's department (a little cheaper). The style of say Nikes is not different from (older) kids to adults (obviously I'm not shopping in the little kid section with things like velcro, etc).

Can't help you with clothes as I'm 5'6.

ETA as much as I like the younger, funky style, I won't go all out in kids shoes. You won't see me buying shoes with the girls from Frozen on it for example. But witha pair of plain black ballet flats, you can't tell if they were kids or adults.
