Called the vet this afternoon, 5:00p.m., and the vet tech said that he is urinating and eating better.
He had a urinary tract blockage, some background; http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018704563
She saw him pee when she went back to check on him and it was a strong stream with just a very little bit of blood. The blood wasn't a surprise because they had taken the catheter out late this morning.
He must be getting flushed out because it looked like he peed at least one other time but the time she saw him he didn't quite make it to litter box.
So he got a bath. She said he did real good. They used a shallow pan and he hardly gave them any trouble. Doesn't surprise me because he is pretty laid back.
We'll know at 9:00a.m.
His brother, nieces and nephews have been laying where he usually does after going around the house, talking to us and getting my wife to follow them to where he sleeps while talking up a storm.
He helped the babies momma take care of them when they were outside before they became house kitties and he has continued to play with and watch them.
We may not even have to change his diet very much.
