Answers: 1) Yes I think. 2) Don't know about the marriage thing. I know he did get hitched again but I don't know any more beyond that.

He was in ATL at the time but ready to head out to LA. This was when there was a fairness doctrine so it was an awesome time, and most hosts didn't toe the line one way or the other.

After the FCC got rid of the fairness doctrine, we liberals couldn't find a radio job to save our lives. I gave up. A lot of hosts turned into sudden Repukes just to stay employed. I suspect that was the impetus for Hendrie's "new" political stances.

But god it was funny watching him work the phones and do all those voices. And even more funny when callers thought it was a real caller he was dealing with.

Good times.
