2. Well, I watched the whole thing,

and pretty much disagreed with all points made.

I understood the movie better after I read Clarke's book of it, even though he didn't write it until after the movie was made. Or maybe released it after, and wrote it during the production. Either way, there are far more answers in his version of the story, while Kubrick's film is more like a work of art than a story.

When I first saw your post, I thought "I already know what 2001 means. How about an explanation of "Solyaris" instead?" However, I don't think I'd want it from the group that made this video. Just my opinion
