9. You might need reading glasses...

for close up things. You'll find a rack of them at any drugstore, and they're generally not expensive. Almost everybody gets far sighted after 40 or so. And, I can say from experience, that does not mean that any near-sightedness you may have goes away. It somehow doesn't work that way.

I wore glasses for near-sightedness since 3rd grade. After about 42 I badly needed bi-focals. I never could get used to tri-focals. The field of view for each lens section was just too small, and I found I got neck strain from trying to hold my head in one position for too long.

Then, at about 60, my cataracts got so bad I had the surgery done. Since then, my distance vision is 20/20 but I still need reading glasses for the close stuff. I have several pair for different distances. The Dollar stores around here actually have cheap reading glasses, so you can get them cheap.
