I could certainly understand parents' fears.
It's wonderful how sure of themselves these Girl Scouts are, tho. I credit the organization for teaching them to stand up for themselves. The girls who were at my supermarket selling them were terrific. They had strong confidence and were loving the experience. Of course, who can resist buying those cookies...I did notice that one of their troop leaders were on hand...not hovering but just "there" for them. My supermarket made every effort to make them feel comfortable inside with a little table and chairs. Good for community relations. And they were situated right where you are about the exit the store...hard to walk past and ignore...I hope they made a a lot of money...

Do-si-dos are a little dry, but I love the peanut filling. Thin mints are probably the best...
