42. In the Briefing Room, the 3902CSGp CBPO, Lackland Plane Patch, Sep 76.

He was marking time waiting to start his briefing. I had just finished mine and was fiddling with the slide projector which had, as usual, jammed again. He hears my sulferous mutterings and said, "Can I help you with that; I've fixed it before."

"Sure. Appreciate it." He pulls out a Swiss Army Knife that had everything but a chain saw and starts on the pos. I check him out, not bad at all. He's checking me out and I pass inspection.

"You wouldn't happen to have the specs for this thing?"

"Nah. Probably got lost around about the time of Granicus."

"Looks more like the model used at Pharsalia."

*Ping and double thought balloon. S/he knows history. Yes.

He finishes with pos. "Should work now, for awhile anyway." It did. A couple of beats. "Would you like to see The Lion in Winter? It's on at the Retro."

"Sure."
