I am all for honoring someone more modern, and frankly, more admirable. I doubt we would ever take George off the $1 or Abe off the $5 given their historical status. Jefferson is pretty lofty in terms of historical worship, but we gave him the "pooper" of US currency on the $2 bill, so I bet people would be fine with that loss. Hamilton ($10), Jackson ($20), Grant ($50) and Franklin ($100) can certainly be changed without upsetting too many people.

I say we push for the 50 Cent $100 bill. It would totally confuse tourists.

Otherwise, I think the Beatles would be a fine addition to the $20. Sadly, as Brits, they might not be allowed.
