(33,117 posts)62. Well, Rickles would sometimes "imply" that someone was ugly,
for example, he'd ask a man in one of the front rows:"Is that your wife, sir?"
and then he'd grimace.
I know of people who went to see him and would TRY to get seats down front, so that he
WOULD pick them out & make fun of them.
Whenever he made an appearance on The Tonight Show, he would always make Johnny Carson crack up (laughing)

I think he is at his best doing impressions of musicians, especially to their faces.

Sandler tries too hard in his movies. His SNL stuff sometimes made me laugh.
