101. Nice idea.

I'm rbnyc because my initials are rb and when I joined DU in 2001, I was living in nyc.

I was born in Arizona 40-odd years ago, but grew up in the Chicago area. I’ve been in New York for over 15 years, and now live “out on the island.”

I think my first political hero was Jello Biafra when I was a young teen.

I’m a writer and a musician. I’m a not-for-profit fundraising executive and a mom.

My son is a beautiful little genius.

I love my career, but my current office is very toxic. I’m hoping something will change. I will only leave for the right opportunity, but if a couple of other people left instead of me, things would be a lot better.

I used to be fit but now I’m really fat. I had a terrible car accident and got pregnant with my son before I was healed and I just never got control of my body after that – plus I got old and moved to the suburbs. I have really got to figure out how to set up my life so I can succeed in losing weight. I seem to spend most of my time responding to other people’s needs.

I talk about myself too much, but I really do listen and care about other people. I invite everyone to talk about themselves too.

I often have lucid dreams. It’s an awesome ability.

I am spiritual but not religious. I believe that there are things we don’t understand and that there’s room for all kinds of possibilities. The supernatural is just the natural that we have not yet organized into science. The other day I heard someone say that we will never know what happens to us after we die, and I thought, really? Never? I think there was probably a time when we felt we would never know what was on the other side of the world, or what makes lightening. If we don’t destroy ourselves in the next ten years, I think we’ll find answers to lots of questions we’ve always believed were impossible to answer.

My cat is sick and one of my friends died today in a really horrible way.

I should go to bed, but I’m here.
