Weatherbug - The app from The Weather Channel is large and slow. This is much more efficient.
Comic Reader - For those who don't get a newspaper or their paper doesn't run the comics you like.
Cribbage Pro - quality, free cribbage game
Flixter - The mobile app for Rotten Tomatoes (movie reviews and info)
GasBuddy - find the cheapest gas near you
KeyRing - Useful for keeping all of your discount cards (you know, the ones the stores give you so they can track your shopping habits)
MixZing - better music app than the default one
Pandora - how could you not like having mobile Pandora?
ScoreCenter - ESPN's app for tracking sports scores and news
Solitaire Deluxe - the best free solitaire app I've found
XfinityTV - If you use Comcast as your cable provider, this app allows you to not only see the channel guide, but control your DVR(s) and record shows - even if you're not at home
