From about 12:27 to 19:10 is the most extraordinarily intense and shattering music I know in any genre. The tension it builds is almost literally unbearable. Mahler only dreamed of writing music with that kind of power and it makes Ravel's "Bolero" sound like kiddie-party fare. And I adore Ravel. THIS is something other than else.
