3. Going off the comment above. The Rogan hero is much more likable.

Rather than being a savior, they are real people that treat women like real people. Take the newest Rogan movie, The Night Before. Not his best movie by far but entertaining. But the interaction with his wife is that he realizes he isn't as strong as he thought and she is fine with it. Without getting to spoilers, it's a great interaction between them at the end. And the Joseph Gordon-Levitt character is all about figuring out who he really is and getting in touch with his emotional reality in order for the relationship to work.

As a guy, I find the hyper-testosterone heroes to be rather insulting. YMMV
