Abby is an elderly very small Boston terrier who is blind, mostly deaf, and with a bit of arthritis. I carry her outside and back in.
Ty is a middle-aged brown poodle with no real health issues, but he's definitely an inside doggy too.
Neither Ty nor Abby will wear sweaters or boots, so I think the garage is a better pee and poo place for them than outside is, poor things. Poor me too, since I stay out there with them while they go and carry them both back inside...Abby because she can't see and Ty because by then his paws are frozen. Anyway, there are mountain lions around here and I'd never leave my babies at their mercy.
I don't blame your dog one bit for not liking to squat in the snow. Like you, I wouldn't either!
