Don't fall for the smart TV shit. They aren't all that smart. I got a 42 incher in 2014 for about $350. Samsung. I just ignore the "smart" stuff.

Go to a store where you can see the picture quality of several brands. I tend to like Samsung quality, but there are other good ones.
