Leading to a career change.
I was in a corporate training seminar. We were learning how to do public speaking.
Living close to the office allowed me to go home for lunch, so on that particular day, I did. I didn't like what I'd worn that day, so I changed clothes over the lunch hour. Then I went back to work and to the seminar.
The afternoon session called for us to do a speech, which was recorded. Then they played the speeches back. We were given a critique form to fill out. I critiqued myself very highly, but I didn't know I was critiquing myself because I forgot I'd changed clothes and I didn't recognize myself. 
After that, I changed from being a marketing executive who did public speaking to being a public speaker and public speaking teacher.
