Slow healing wounds usually happen in the elderly, people with poor circulation, or diabetes. I figure the part of my wound that is healing by secondary intention (granulation) has more in common with motorcycle road rash, than ulcers. I had some very badly skinned knees and knuckles from flipping over on a slow moving moped, but as deep as that was, Io doubt it was full thickness. I am probably just being a hypochondriac. I have been taking a multivitamin and attempting to eat more protein. Elevating my leg like crazy, and laying around more often than not. just saw a referenct women with slow healing wounds being zinc deficient
