Meh.

Dh and I dipped into the AMT a bit more this year. It's all good. Taxes aren't a horrible thing- while they support some things I don't approve of, they support far more things I appreciate in this country.

I filed my state taxes already. Small refund coming our way.

My tax bill will likely increase for the next seven years or so as my kids head to college and we start to lose more deductions. We can't deduct much of their college expenses, and eventually we won't be able to claim even the kids. The mortgage interest we pay declines every year as our 15 year mortgage heads towards pay off.

Once one of us leaves the workforce, the tax picture will change again.
