7. I did a flying tour that went down the St Lawrence and came out at Niagara

So my experience was a bit different in that most of my experiences were in the air, although I've been to Canada the traditional way many times.

I spent the night at the island in the video and a couple of other places along the way. The old part of Quebec City is worth seeing if you haven't been. L'Isle-aux-Coudres has scooter rentals which is a great way to see the island. The little villages along the north bank of the St Lawrence east of Quebec city are very picturesque, so I can imagine if you rented a car and drove to the island it would be a great experience, although that's not the mode of transportation I used. I did very much wish I could have seen them closer.

This is the place where I stayed on the island. The music in the video is performed live by the innkeeper during the evenings and the food is quite nice. Her name is Catherine and she speaks English pretty well, but it's not as common to find English speakers in the rest of Quebec compared to the tourist areas of Montreal.
