In reply to the discussion: I have a week off... Where should I go? [View all]nolabear
(43,850 posts)21. August is one of the best times to come to Seattle. Summer begins July 5th.
Local joke, but it's ridiculously true. The end of July through October are just plain gorgeous. The rest of the time it...you know...rains. And I'm not kidding.
But being an old NOLA girl I love it like life itself, though I used to have a bad habit of going home in August, when it's a slice of hell. Thank GOD there's a nice dark bar with incredible music like very fifty feet.

I've done Montreal a few times, I've never been to Toronto or Quebec City however.

I've never been to Seattle, though it's on my list, but I have been to San Diego and loved it

I voted Chicago, but if you're looking for warm and green, choose somewhere else.
