The thing about Doctor Who is that I've never seen a truly bad episode. The worst is merely disposable, the typical is charming and sweet, and the best makes for some of the finest television ever.

My favorite episodes:

-The Silence of the Library two-parter (the introduction of River Song, with the most life-affirming ending in the series)

-Day of the Doctor (the 50th anniversary special, and the greatest one imaginable. John Hurt is incredible, and Tennant and Smith are like gangbusters together)

-Heaven Sent (one of the most searing examinations of grief I've come across--Emmy-worthy)
