TuxedoKat, I've since learned of Super Concentrated Odor Eliminator (SCOE). A friend told me it's the best thing he's ever used on cat urine. It has an unpleasant odor* when you spray/pour it, but it leaves no odor behind, he says, and completely eradicated the urine odor. He used it on furniture. He really had to soak the area that had been peed on, but once it dried, the stink was gone.

It's not cheap. I've ordered some, the test kit. We'll see. Whatever you use, I hope you have good luck.

* More of a chemical harshness in the nose than an actual bad smell, he says.
