115. Hey there. I AM YANKEEPANTS!

I never really introduced myself on DU2.

My actual name is Therese. Yankee Doodle Dandy Pants is my beloved 10-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever .

I joined DU in 2009 after lurking through the bush trauma. My background is in PR and Marketing. I have a BA in English: General Literature and Rhetoric from Binghamton University. It makes me a good debator and writer of great poison pen letters.

I grew up in Syracuse NY and have lived in NYC, all over New York State, CT, the UK, and now reside in northern New York State on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario with my husband of six years (relationship just hit 22 years), our two dogs Yankeepants and Digrid Cattalina Wallaroo, a blue heeler rescue affectionately know as The Ding, our two cats Johnny Fucking Kelly and Roy Lee, and two Thoroughbred geldings, the brothers Finnegan and Kavanaugh.

I am a dog trainer and will be opening my own kennel in the spring. My husband and I own a home and property management company called Jeeves Home Management.

I cannot tell you how much DU and all the DUers have meant to me over the years. I live in a heavily republican rural area and would not survive without the ability to tap into SANITY!
