LMAO story from my pediatric office. Pronunciation does matter. [View all]

I was examining young brothers on Friday, for their 2 and 4 year old well visits. The mom had suckers (which I call lollipops) for the boys for their rewards upon completion of the exams. The 2 yr old was particularly eager for his.

He could not pronounce the "S" sound properly, and kept asking his mom to "unwrap the fucker."

Mom and I were both laughing out loud. It was impossible not to.
