(12,132 posts)to ride into that town. Maybe not every day but once or twice a month. Do they have a good hardware store? Something that you can't get more locally? I wouldn't want to tell someone I drove a hundred miles round trip for a donut (I'd do it, I just don't want to tell anyone) but If I needed that special framulator for the thingamajig and happened to drive by a Krispy Kreme to get it, well, that's perfectly reasonable.
Hell, my wife and I have seriously considered taking a long weekend to drive up to Tennessee where the only Taco Tico we know of still exists. I mean, I guess we'd look at something historic or beautiful while there but we all know it was Taco Tico what brung us.
A few years ago we went to Indianapolis for a convention and while searching for cheap hotels we found one with a Jack In The Box next door. Of course I picked that. Shittiest hotel I've ever been in but I had JitB every day for a week and would do it again. Super Tacos and Breakfast Jacks where the fuel of my high school days and they still have them but the tacos are regular size now. Still taste the same though.
