HRH was a hissing, spitting ball of fury when she was taken out of the cage to meet me. They dumped this angry little cuss into my lap and she went boneless and started to purr and solicit pets. I lived with her for over 20 years and took her for her last vet visit 2 years ago. She was also a Maine Coon, full of long haired tortietude.
I think sometimes it's harder to say goodbye to a four footed friend than a two footed one.
