His name is Josh Freese, and he's a session cat.

This guy could be playing post-punk in Los Angeles on Monday night, get a phone call "yeah, this is Toby Keith...we're in a bind, man; we're recording at Abbey Road; we decided to jam a little at a pub and our drummer exploded on stage; could you be here in 24 hours to help us finish the record?"...he'd fly over there, record his part in two takes and be back in LA playing better-quality music by Friday.
It's very hard to be an expert drummer in one genre of music; it's damn near impossible to be an expert drummer in all genres of music, but Josh Freese is up to the challenge.
