May i share something?
dunno if it will be helpful or not.
A friend of mine was dx'd with lupus several years ago, at the same time I was diagnosed with
fibromyalgia, which she had previously been diagnosed with before they changed it to lupus.

Turns out what I really had was celiac disease ( severe gluten allergy) which over the years had
done a number to my body on a lot of levels.
I mentioned gluten to her, she stopped eating wheat and wheat related gluten, and had significant
improvement with her symptoms.
Unfortunately not total improvement, but enough to make a wheat free diet worth it to her.
