(129,957 posts)42. I did that for a while. I found I could buy tons of kale and bananas
and what not, wash and chop, mix them in appropriate amounts, then seal in small plastic bags, then freeze. Because it was going into a smoothie it did not matter what you froze or how the freezing broke down the fruit or vegetables. Made for a quick smoothie. My favourite spice to add was cardamon. I like coconut milk too. But I was not losing weight. Turns out if you put fruit in an pulverize it your body treats that as a sugary drink and adds fat to your body. So now I eat my fruit whole and the fiber and all slows down how my body processes the sugar, and it doesn't get stored as fat so much.
