an interesting, if weird, phenomenon. I liked him in the Risky Business/Top Gun days, but since then it's just gotten too strange. Between the Scientology, the lack of visible aging, the strange family situation, and his apparent unwillingness to take on grown-up parts...I just can't identify with him as a human anymore. Not that I blame him necessarily for sticking with what works, he just doesn't work for me anymore.
