When we met, I didn't know this, but her previous boyfriends were very possessive and crowded her. I, on the other hand, was living on another continent with no chance of moving right away, and so I was hoping mightily I could still hold on to her while letting her lead her life the way she wanted, without constant intervention from me. She had the independence I cherished while I let her have the freedom she craved. It was a pretty good match from the start.

Well I have always been a fan, DFW. So I think they got great stuff from both parents.
