(72,300 posts)22. We've had the AC repaired every year since buying this place. Small repairs.
Last year was the most expensive because we had duct work done in addition to the AC repair.
I know I'll adjust but at this point I still feel a little sick due to the heat. When that happens I hangout in front of the fans with a cold glass of water or tea.

I would get a cheap $129 5,000 btu unit from Home Depot for sleeping. But that's me.

Look into an oscillating fan for each room. It feels like a cool breeze. You may sleep better.

Temp here on Gulf Coast is 90 but thanks to our humidity, the heat index is 102.
