(97,001 posts)I hope Jon keeps to the ways of his uncle and mother (and the North - for the North doesn't approve of of incest - recall Craster's daughters) and doesn't bed his aunt. Also, the 7 Kingdoms frown upon it as well. Otherwise, Cersei and Jaime could have lived openly the whole time - and even now, Jaime is hesitant about people knowing. The Targaryens were considered different, foreign born, and above the law - Is there really peace in a kingdom when the subjects know their rulers are above the laws they themselves are expected to follow?
Yes, she is inexperienced but she is coming on a little too strong because she is in Westeros, and while I understand that, she's doing it all wrong. Not to mention how Cersei and Jaime are outsmarting Tyrion at every turn. He needs to remember who raised them all - Tywin.
Jon, being who he is, ignored her presumption and her arrogance. In fact, he schooled her in the ways of rights by conquest. Which I cheered.
Daenerys is willing to listen, learn, and change. That is a strength.
Bran knows what Sansa plans to do, I agree. That could be why she fled. But she could also turn on Bran - people who are that different inspire fear. If not outright, she could undermine him in subtle ways. So could Littlefinger.
Decide his mind is as damaged as his body. Depends on how far Sansa can be trusted and she hasn't been the most trustworthy Stark.
Meera knows too. About Jon. In the show, Meera and her brother suggested their father told them. So maybe Howland isn't needed.
If Arya returns to Winterfell, Sansa may also decide to see her little sister as she has always seen her. Which would be bad for Sansa.
Bran knows the layout of Winterfell better than Sansa and Arya is far deadlier - and she has learned to temper her sense of fairness and justice with guile.
Childhood dynamics couldn't help but come into play. They always do at family reunions.
I don't see Daenerys and Mormont ever hooking up. But I can see the North welcoming him back should he decide to be a part of his family again. He was exiled for good reason but he has earned his way back.
If the show goes with the 3 heads of the dragon, then all 3 can marry into other great houses - preferably those who were once wardens and the strongest of the houses to solidify their power. Well, of those who remain alive.
If the show allows Jon to be who he really is, I don't know that it will. Only because not everything works out like we want and the bad guys all too often get away with their crimes and the good guys all too often lose.
Speaking of the 3 heads, what if the long bolt works and a dragon is slain? Does it matter or is too much prophecy clouding reason?
We assume Bran wants to tell Jon his true story but what if he wants to warn Jon instead? Or, as well?
I think Daenerys sees in Jon what others see in him. She is intrigued, and she will root out the knife to the heart, died for his....comment.
But I, personally, don't want the two to wed.
I want Bran to expose Littlefinger's role in Eddard Stark's death, as well as Varys' role. The Lannister's' role is well known already.
I was more than a little annoyed at Sansa calling her father a fool when she was the one who ran to Cersei and betrayed her father. This was last week when Sansa said that.
Yes, she was young(er) - but Arya was that much more younger and never would have done something so heinous.
I must confess, and I always do, to a bias against Sansa. I can't quite forgive her foolish behavior that aided the Lannisters. And while Sansa admits to being a stupid girl at one time - she calls her father's decency and honor a weakness. His decency and honor saved Jon's life.
The only thing Sansa should have learned from Cersei is how not to act. From Mad King to Mad Queen - and it is obvious that Joffrey inherited his psychopathy from his mother.
Another reason Jon probably shouldn't bed his aunt. It's in her genes as well. And genes do play a role in the development of psychopathic traits. Not to discount nurture/socialization - for that can make all the difference.
I'm just talking out my ass for the most part.
