I do the same thing as you.. Recording a one hour tv show that has 20 min of commercials leaves me with 40 min of what I want to see. I'm at the point that watching live tv is painful. Most morning and evening news shows down here are the defacto automobile sales time... yuck.
Same with movies on the tv machine. I tape them and then just blast thru the commercials. As for going to the movie theater, I don't go to first runs. I wait about a week or so when they are not as crowded and then show up 10min after the "show" starts and still get a good seat.. I usually only see one commercial and then the movie starts..
Adblocker works great on the computer also...
Ok rant mode off..
