11. Tom Sawyer was always on the radio

when I was in high school. BUT I went to a christian high school then and I wasn't allowed to listen to that or any other rock. I only heard stuff like that because I did still have to go out in the world. I remember hearing that and many other now classic radio songs at BBQ joints where I worked and malls where I shopped (in the shopping malls!) in high school.

But then I graduated in 81 and left home three months thereafter to escape some lunacy. Met a guy who promptly educated me on Zeppelin and Rush and they have been my favorite bands ever since. All-time favorites even though the majority of my listening is now death metal.

I remember hating Tom Sawyer because church told me to. I remember when I was freed from that shackle and found out about all kinds of music that I now love dearly. Some I like because it would piss off my stepfather (i'm 53 now and should be over it but seriously, fuck that asshole) and the rest I just love because music is so awesome.

I just discovered there is such a thing as a powered sub-woofer that includes built in amp and crossover and all those words I've heard but don't really understand lol. They say it will fit under my back seats but I don't know how much that will help or if I'd be better off doing something else. I need to find out what my factory stereo is pushing I suppose - I have no idea of the specifications because it's still so new I haven't even received my owners manual yet. (dealer had to order one and is sending it to me).
