(29,173 posts)23. The sudden death of someone you love is like being struck by lighting.
You can't prepare for it and it's shattering. No one can really know how it feels until it happens to them. We all feel it differently.
Right now the only useful words you can hear or read are "Can I help?"
Friends and family are reaching out to you; reach back. Just knowing you're not alone will help.
You will find the light again. Peace and comfort.
