Valve. A corporation without hierarchy or management. [View all]

So, I really hate linking to Revleft because it tends to be a sectarian war-zone, but I found this OP really interesting and I didn't feel that I could write it as well as the original author.

It is about the video game company Valve and their unique business model that has no hierarchy or managers and I thought I would share the link with you all. All you have need to read is the OP, I haven't read much past it, because I'm sure some somehow some flame war will break out between the Marxist-Leninists and Trotskyists, I don't know, but it always happens over there.

Anyway, I thought the concept of a company without hierarchy or management might make for an interesting discussion. After all, if something as complex as software design can be done without management or hierarchy, pretty much any business can do it.
